What is it about animal fibers that capture our imagination?
Working with them and the animals somehow gives me personal satisfaction in a sort of down to the soul level. After all we call all be certain no matter what culture or country our ancestors come from they worked with animal or plant fibers.
They made tents and clothing from wool, spun yarn, and wove all manner of household items.  They may have beat stinging nettles with rocks and soaked them and spun the fibers found inside into lovely cloth.  Maybe they worked on Kingly capes spun from the attaching protein that a particular mussel makes which when dryed and spun into thread and finally woven into cloth shines like gold.  After many years of moving from one artistic project to another I discovered wool. Especially Needle felting and Spinning Yarn, I hope you find working with fibers as relaxing and fun as I do!
